Spindrift Tea is a new series of canned beverages from the ready-to-drink (RTD) refreshment brand that expand beyond its existing category to help capture the attention of shoppers this spring and summer. The drink range starts off with real brewed tea and squeezed fruit juice, which are combined together with no carbonation to give each one a crisp, flavor-driven profile. The drinks come in four flavors including Lemon Black Tea, Blood Orange Black Tea, Raspberry Black Tea and Peach Green Tea, which each crated without ultra-processed ingredients to receive verification under the Non-Ultraprocessed Food (Non-UPF) Standard.
CEO Dave Burwick spoke on the Spindrift Tea range saying, "From day one, Spindrift has been built around simple ingredients you can recognize and taste. Tea felt like a natural next step. We looked at the category and asked: what would iced tea taste like if it were made the Spindrift way – with real brewed tea and real squeezed fruit instead of sugar-heavy formulas? The answer is something cleaner, brighter, and delicious."

Trend Themes
1. Clean-label RTD Beverages - Growing consumer preference for recognizable, minimal ingredient lists is creating space for RTD products that replace additives and sugars with whole-food inputs and transparent sourcing.
2. Fizz-free Fruit-infused Teas - A shift toward non-carbonated, flavor-forward canned teas highlights demand for crisp, fruit-sweetened profiles that compete with sodas and sparkling alternatives on taste rather than effervescence.
3. Non-ultraprocessed Certification Demand - Increasing interest in third-party validation of product processing levels is elevating brands that can demonstrate Non-UPF or similar credentials to health-conscious shoppers.
Industry Implications
1. Ready-to-drink Beverage Retail - Retailers are positioned to refresh shelf space with premium, ingredient-forward canned teas that attract shoppers seeking healthier grab-and-go options.
2. Functional Beverage Manufacturing - Manufacturers capable of brewing tea at scale while integrating real fruit juice without stabilizers are set to meet demand for clean, flavor-driven functional beverages.
3. Food Ingredient Supply - Suppliers of high-quality fruit concentrates, natural preservatives, and transparent-source tea leaves are becoming strategic partners for brands pursuing non-ultraprocessed product claims.
