The City of Antwerp's Creative Speeding Road Sign Makes Use of Selfies

In Belgium, there are already speeding road sign displays that display either a happy face or a sad face, depending on whether a driver is adhering to the speed limits or not. Now, the city has taken this idea to the next level with its Selfie Speeding Sign.

The city has a campaign site where users can upload two photos of themselves, one happy and one sad. These crowdsourced images are used on speeding signs in place of the happy and sad face icons, bringing the real faces of other people in the city to a driver's attention. Since these are people that a speeding driver could potentially harm in an accident, it really makes you think twice about road safety.
