Complimentary Eye Care Campaigns

This Specsavers Program Supports Those Experiencing Homelessness

This Specsavers program sets its sights on the reported one in three people experiencing homelessness who have sight problem by providing them with essential care.

The program will see the brand offering free eye and ear care at its 1,000 locations in the UK and Ireland for those experiencing homelessness. The program builds on the brand's initiative launched several years ago to provide eye and ear care for those who need it most, and could help to greatly support those who don't have access to this kind of care through the NHS.

Managing Director of Optics Carina Hummel spoke on the Specsavers program saying, "At Specsavers our purpose is to change lives through better sight and hearing by making care accessible and affordable for everyone. We understand that people affected by homelessness are at higher risk of eye and hearing problems yet encounter major barriers when trying to access care."
