This Batalla Espacial, or Spatial Battle in English, was staged by Chilean artist Ales Villegas. Villegas has filled the GalerÃa Die Ecke with paper mache creations that resemble normal furniture.
By recreating normal furniture in an art space, Ales Villegas makes us think about what these objects actually are. Spatial Battle removes the desks and dressers from their normal surroundings, making us see them for what they actually are.
Implications - Consumers are drawn towards new design that evokes the future. Their conception of the future has greatly informed mass media. Companies looking to form a deeper connection with youth demographics can do so by drawing on popular representations of the future when conceiving their designs.
