Sculpting Swimwear Collections

Spanx Swimwear Styles Offer Three Compression Levels

In 2026, the Spanx swimwear collection is relaunching and for the first time, it brings three distinct SPANXeffect compression levels to the assortment.

"As the inventors of modern shapewear, swim is a natural extension of our expertise," said Wendy Hanson, VP of Innovation and Intimate Apparel Design at SPANX. "We've been listening closely to our consumers for years, testing and learning alongside them. That insight has allowed us to return to swim with a more intentional assortment that better addresses her needs and brings the SPANXeffect™ compression levels she already trusts into the category."

Across the lineup, consumers can appreciate that the designs are confidence-boosting, comfortable, chlorine-resistant, and useful for providing UPF 50+ protection. In terms of compression, SPANXsmooth Swim is the lightest option, SPANXshape Swim delivers medium compression for tummy control and shaping, and SPANXsculpt Swim delivers the highest level of compression.

Personalized Compression Swimwear
A segmentation of compression levels within a single brand creates potential for bespoke fit systems that match body morphology and comfort preferences at scale.
Performance Fabrication
Advanced chlorine-resistant, UPF 50+ and shape-retaining textiles point to development of multifunctional fabrics that preserve cosmetic effects while enduring harsh aquatic environments.
Confidence-centric Design
Designs explicitly focused on boosting wearer confidence suggest new service models that blend aesthetic shaping with mental wellness metrics and social-proofing features.
