Ryan McGinley's Somewhere Place Series is Full of Quiet Wonder

If you are looking to be inspired by some very unique and original photographs, I suggest you look no further than the Somewhere Place photo series. A stunning collection of surreal images filled with quiet, and at times disturbing, wonder, it is a look at a youthful and naturalist existence that somehow still thrives in our tech-saturated lives.

Shot by New York-based photographer Ryan McGinley, the Somewhere Place photo series seems to be an extension of his last photo exhibit called Life Adjustment Center, in which he focused on the nude human form with animals, reptiles and other living things.

However, the Somewhere Place photo series takes it up a notch by introducing scenic nature shots and what appears to be self-mutilation.
