Pharrell Williams Teams Up With Groot to Open 'Somewhere Else' Resort

Superstar musician and producer Pharrell Williams has partnered with entrepreneur David Grutman, owner of Groot Hospitality, to announce the launch of the 'Somewhere Else' resort in the Bahamas. Currently in development, the luxurious new resort is set to open in 2024 on Atlantis Paradise Island, a popular tourist location home to resort properties such as The Coral, The Reef, The Royal, and The Cove.

According to a recent press statement, Somewhere Else will feature over 400 rooms and suites, in addition to multiple dining venues, pools, recreation areas, live entertainment, and an oceanfront beach. Moreover, the resort will deliver a "clear focus on nature and restorative elements," said Grutman.

Somewhere Else isn't the first collaboration between Williams and Grutman. The two entrepreneurs partnered on a Miami property called The Goodtime Hotel, as well as a Miami-based restaurant named Swan.
