When it comes to integrating social media into business strategy, companies are turning to tools like social relationship platform Hootsuite more and more. Trend Hunter recently chatted with Hootsuite's VP of Enterprise Strategy Rob Begg about the role social plays today.
He discusses how much the landscape has changed just in the last six to eight years. Today, not just big brands, but other industries including financial services, healthcare, the public sector and even higher education are integrating a social strategy. He refers to today as the "golden age of social" because it can have an impact on businesses, no matter what size they are.
He notes that business is key with social media and that it works far more broadly than just marketing. Wise brands are looking at how they can integrate social internally as well.
While the social relationship platform is clearly relevant to businesses of all sizes, Hootsuite also has a unique insight into the user experience as it is often used by individuals too.
