Snapchat's New Snap Map Feature Encourages Social Interaction

Snapchat is aiming to encourage more in-person social interactions between its users with its new Snap Map tool.

The tool allows users of the app to share their locations with friends, which appear in a map that opens when users open their Snapchat apps. The new app feature uses people's Bitmoji characters or their personal profile pictures to reveal to their friends where in the world they are. When users of the app click on one of their friends' Bitmoji characters or profile pictures on the Snapchat app, they are able to message them directly.
