Xinyu Ye designs the Sliball tackles the issue of public shopping cart handles and the bacteria that it may carry. Instead of wiping down the handle or spraying it with alcohol, the Sliball device is a single gadget that could clean without direct contact.
It is made to resemble the look of a mushroom and seemingly looks like a futuristic device. It boasts a sleek structure and has a glossy surface of black and white. The hole through the middle is what passes through the shopping cart handles and then sanitizes it using the UV-C light that is attached to the device itself. It is able to be integrated to the processes of claiming a shopping cart at the front of the shop.
