LG Electronics Opens the High-End SKS Chicago Showroom

LG Electronics has established a new exhibition space in Chicago — the SKS Chicago Showroom. Dedicated to its SKS line of high-end, integrated home appliances and developed in partnership with the architect Piero Lissoni, the venue is conceived as an immersive environment intended to reflect a sophisticated lifestyle.

The SKS Chicago Showroom's design employs a minimalist aesthetic and incorporates multimedia art installations to create an atmospheric setting that emphasizes how the products can be incorporated into upscale living areas. The space, which spans over 8,600 square feet, features several fully realized kitchen concepts, each showcasing a different aesthetic theme and containing more than fifty distinct appliances. These include specialized refrigeration units, cooking apparatus with integrated sous vide capabilities, advanced induction cooktops, and new laundry equipment. A key visual element is the extensive use of the company's own direct-view LED technology to present digital art that reinforces the brand's 'True to Food' philosophy.
