DEWALT & SkillsUSA Address Skilled Tradespeople Shortages

DEWALT has announced a collaborative effort with SkillsUSA that aims to address the shortage of skilled tradespeople in the U.S. by providing essential tools and resources to aspiring professionals. As part of this initiative, DEWALT will contribute $100,000 worth of tools to the SkillsUSA Championships, an annual event where thousands of students compete in various skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and welding.

Beyond the competition, the organizations ensure that the tools used will be distributed to individuals nationwide who are pursuing careers in the trades, helping to alleviate a key barrier to entry — access to equipment. This effort aligns with DEWALT’s broader Grow the Trades program, a $30 million commitment to support workforce development for skilled tradespeople through scholarships, grants, and tool donations.
