The Augmented Reality-Enabled Six15 Glasses Debuted at CES 2015
Alyson Wyers — January 7, 2015 — Tech
Unveiled for the first time at CES 2015, the new Six15 glasses let your face do your texting for you in the name of situational awareness and neck pain prevention. Already a pioneer in "wearable optical displays" for the military, Six15 Technologies announced a new head-mounted device that offers augmented reality, text messaging and "heads-up data delivery."
The Six15 glasses will display your incoming text messages and let you respond so you won't have to touch your phone. The wearable connects to a mobile device using Bluetooth while the wearer's head and eye movements allow them to go through old and new messages shown on the lens. In just one battery cycle you can send and receive 1500 messages.
The smart glasses will be available publicly early this year.
