The Sensus iPhone Case Has Touch Controls on the Back and Sides
Trenton Millar — October 14, 2012 — Tech
The Sensus iPhone Case may seem like just another iPhone case on first look, but this case is packing some technological surprises that make it worth a deeper inspection. The case features touch-sensitive surfaces on both the back and the sides.
The purpose is to make it easier for gamers to play on their iPhone by removing the need to actually touch the screen while they are playing, like the PS Vita. Another use is to avoid smudging your screen when reading, or otherwise using your iPhone. To make it work, the Sensus iPhone Case has its own processor. Hypothetically, this should reduce the burden on the iPhone's processor making it go a bit faster.
The one caveat: in order for this product to be successful, developers have to embrace it by programming apps to use the technology.
