This Clothing Retailer is Now Selling Pizza to Hungry Shoppers

'Urban Outfitters' recently announced that it will begin selling pizza in addition to its regular merchandise. With the rise of online shopping, companies have been looking for creative ways to increase foot traffic in brick and mortar stores. This latest venture aims to keep hungry customers from running off in search of a mid-day snack.

The innovative retail strategy follows the recent sale of 'Pizzeria Ventri' to Urban Outfitters. Now Urban Outfitters plans to open a series of pizzerias inside select retail locations. In addition to increasing revenue, the brand hopes that selling pizza will increase foot traffic and encourage shoppers to spend more time in the store.

While the initiative may seem unusual, this is not the first time that Urban Outfitters has dabbled in the food industry. The company previously opened a coffee shop inside its Herald Square location.
