Pizza Rental Pop-Ups

Daiya's Crustbuster Invited Visitors to Sample Dairy-Free Flavors

Sometimes, all consumers need to completely change their minds and spark newfound enthusiasm is the opportunity to sample a product, and with this in mind, Daiya opened the door to a 90s-style Crustbuster pop-up in New York.

The nostalgic experience centered on helping people in the city "rent" Daiya dairy-free pizza to discover the richness, the cheesiness possible without dairy—and wholly with the power of plant-based innovations.

At Crustbuster, guests walked in to see shelves stocked with boxes styled like VHS tapes, each paying homage to classic movie titles and Daiya's pizza flavors: Beauty and the Feast (Meatless Pepperoni,) The Slicefather (Supreme Pizza) and In the Line of Fire Roasted Vegetables (Fire Roasted Veggie Pizza.) By heading to the counter, visitors were able to "rent" and sample a slice of their chosen flavor.
