The Jackie drone is a security drone developed by Eight Six Ninety-One Technologies. This drone can be fitted with a security camera that can be controlled and monitored online using a smartphone app. The app shows the camera's point of view on the screen, giving the remote pilot the ability to fly the drone from room to room.
While many of the specs of the Jackie drone are still being ironed out, it is expected to be able to stay in the air for up to 6 minutes before returning to its base station for automated charging, which takes about 30 minutes for a full charge. The developers are looking to create an auto-return feature so that owners don't have to pilot the drone back to the charging base.
This drone is perfect for home security and general peace of mind applications, such as the ability to double-check if the stove was switched off or the door was locked.
