Sculptural Confectionery Dresses

Lindt & Sprüngli Partnered with Joe Ando on Wearable Art

Lindt & Sprüngli collaborated with avant-garde designer Joe Ando to translate the 'Tokyo Style Matcha Strawberry Chocolate' into wearable art, featuring sculptural silhouettes that echo the confection’s color story. The collaboration draws on Ando’s sculptural approach, pairing fashion construction with edible-inspired visuals to make flavor cues legible on the body.

The partnership resulted in three custom dresses that reference the product’s vibrant pink strawberry and deep green matcha tones. The garments were designed to mirror the chocolate’s visual and flavor profiles and are being showcased at a dedicated Lindt pop-up inside the brand’s Midtown New York shop.

For consumers, the dresses transform a tasting moment into an immersive, multisensory experience that blends food fandom with fashion. This experiential pairing taps into adjacent passions and offers a fresh way for confectionery to create memorable, photo-ready moments for shoppers and onlookers.
