'ReDi' is a tech school for refugees that helps newly arrived migrants develop useful skills. With many refugees looking for work in Europe, this program provides a valuable opportunity for migrants to enter a growing field.
ReDi is a program run out of the German Tech Entrepreneurship Center in Berlin. The program functions as a tech school for refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iraq and other countries. As part of the program, students attend classes that teach everything from using social media to coding. In addition, students are set up with mentors who can help them find jobs in the field. The ultimate goal is to train refugees to become business intelligence analysts, testers and front-end developers.
Because the program is taught according to skill level, refugees with any level of experience can learn the skills needed to find employment in Europe's growing tech industry.
