All that a wash basin really has to have is a drain and some sort of edging to contain pooling water. The opportunity is available for designers to have a great deal of fun with the creation of such bathroom fixtures, and one whimsical example of this is the Scarabeo Bucket Sink.
The hand-washing unit has been modeled after a round-bottomed pail that broadens slightly towards the top and integrates a metal handle as a whimsical accessory. But for more than simply aesthetics, this handgrip can serve conveniently as a small towel rack.
Yet more amusement was had in the design of the Scarabeo Bucket Sink, for painted models can be purchased that dress the plumbing fixture up like a paint can, a fish tank and a basketball net.
