Scandinavian Design History Exhibitions

Emerson Bailey is Set to Debut the 'Centuries' Exhibition

Emerson Bailey, a distinguished gallery based in Montana, USA will showcase a comprehensive exploration of Scandinavian design history, encapsulating key movements from the Enlightenment era through contemporary minimalism. The inaugural exhibition, which is simply titled 'Centuries', will be held at the upcoming 3 days of design event in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The exhibition aims to illustrate how historical and contemporary design can coexist harmoniously. Founder Susan Weiss and acclaimed Swedish antique dealer Daniel Larsson are collaborating to present a curated selection that juxtaposes historic vintage and antique pieces with contemporary creations from prominent brands such as Sekt, Näfveqvarn, Toni Copenhagen, and Cappelen Dimyr. Highlighting the exhibition on Scandinavian design history is also the launch of Sekt's new Duo Pendant from their Puritan series — designs that blend traditional oil lamp aesthetics with modern craftsmanship techniques. Additionally, Näfveqvarn will reintroduce a historic table by architect Folke Bensow, underscoring a sustainable approach to iron furniture production.
