Turtle Day-Honoring Eyewear Series

GlassesUSA Launches the Save the Tortoise Collection

GlassesUSA honors the upcoming World Turtle Day that falls on May 23rd to keep the animals safe in the form of the Save the Tortoise collection made in collaboration with the American Tortoise Rescue Foundation. The organization protects and raises awareness about the species, which GlassesUSA reminds that “many of whom face extinction.”

The selection of eyewear is adaptable for both non-prescription and prescription lenses. The tortoiseshell glasses are made from plant-based acetate, to ensure that there will be no additional plastics that end up in the ocean. The packaging is also made from recycled materials. There are 13 distinct frame styles that are inspired by the shell patterns and shapes of the endangered tortoises.
