Porsche and Pixar are Creating a Real-Life Version of Sally Carrera from Cars

Porsche has teamed up with Pixar to create a single real-life version of the character 'Sally Carrera' from the Pixar movie series 'Cars.' Sally Carrera is an animated, personified 'Porsche 911 Carrera,' which is the origin of the character's name. This car will debut at 'South by Southwest' (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, in 2022. 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Sally Carrera's creation.

Sally Carrera is a 2002 car model with a baby blue paint job. However, Porsche is not simply creating one of its 20-year-old models, but rather, it is creating a single-edition of its 992-generation Porsche Carrera cars made to resemble the Pixar character. In the Cars movie series, Sally Carrera is a practicing lawyer and the main love interest of Owen Wilson's character, 'Lightning McQueen.'
