Kid-Friendly Sailing Simulators

Volvo Rigged a RS Tera Dinghy to Teach Valuable Sailing Skills

For this year's Isle of Wight event, its official car sponsor Volvo set up an interactive sailing simulator in order to pass on valuable sailing tips to attendees on land.

This simulator was set up at Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, which is known as the oldest and largest sailing regatta of its kind. A RS Tera dinghy was fully rigged in order to mimic the real motions of a boat, with members of the British Sailing Team on hand in order to share information with sailors of all ages, particularly young kids who might one day be inspired to participate in the sailing event themselves as adults.

The family-friendly event also included a treasure hunt, face painting as well as a station with a racetrack full of miniature remote control Volvo cars.
