Luxury home audio brand McIntosh Labs has announced the launch of the RS150 Wireless Loudspeaker and the RS250 Wireless Loudspeaker System. Both models are wireless speaker solutions that can be operated without a dedicated app because they both come with built-in streaming technologies that include Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Roon, and Chrome Cast.
The RS150 is a moderately sized unit equipped with 120 watts of output, doubling that of its predecessor, the RS100. In addition, the new speaker comes with a powerful woofer featuring a 5-1/4-inch diameter driver, 90 watts of power, and a re-engineered encloser. Meanwhile, the RS250 delivers 650 watts of total power via two woofers, four midranges, and two tweeters. Moreover, the new model comes with turntable connectivity, making it the ideal choice for vinyl listeners.
