Seductive Squid Pin-Ups

Squids were obviously on Johnson’s mind when rendering each picture as she’s either given each lovely lady squid-like qualities or had her subjects pose with the tentacled creatures. What viewers get are wonderfully bizarre depictions that are playful, sensual and totally gross to think about all at the same time.

Rozanna Johnson is based in Perth, Australia, where she currently works as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. She painted these images for Grok Magazine and explained that the quirky pairing of squid and women reflected the inventive new direction the magazine was headed in after their recent overhaul.
