Psychedelic Sneaker Series

Vans Vault Decorated Its Sneakers with Iconic Art from Robert Williams

Vans Vault is set to release a limited edition sneaker series in celebration of its 50th anniversary that pays tribute to iconic alternative artist Robert Williams.

The collection includes a number of different skater-style shoes as well as select apparel -- all of which incorporates the cartoonist's psychedelic work. The three Robert Williams paintings that are adapted to the sneakers are 'Flaming Cobras,' 'Malfeasance' and 'Jalapeña.' The artwork is shown on the upper and soles of the shoes, for a design that makes clear its collaboration, which is also shown by Robert Williams' signature that appears near the heel of each product.

Apparel includes a number of graphic t-shirts that feature more of Robert Williams' iconic creations, as well as a drawstring bag and even a 'Fender Stratocaster Guitar.' The limited edition collection can only be obtained from a select few Vans stores.
