Cannon has unveiled a look at its new RF-S7.8mm F4 STM Dual lens -- this is the most affordable spatial and smallest VR lens on its roster yet. Priced at $450, it is about the same size as a regular camera lens but it boasts new features including the ability to shoot 3D VR content.
This content is made for headsets including the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3. However, it only works with the 32.5-megapixel EOS R7 for now. The company is not unfamiliar with VR lenses as it has developed other lenses before but at a larger and more expensive rate. The main benefit of the new launch is the 180 degree field view that is similar to human vision.
