Retailer-Exclusive Rum Casks

Planteray Lets Shops Pick a Cask from Eight Rum Expressions

Planteray is expanding its 'Single Casks Premium 2026' offer, letting independent spirits shops and specialist partners choose a barrel from eight expressions. These picks span six rum origins, giving buyers distinct production stories to feature on a store-exclusive bottle. Each selection comes from Planteray's cellars in Ars, France, and is bottled at cask strength in 700ml bottles with the partner's name on the label.

Buyers taste casks with the Planteray team at Château de Bonbonnet near Cognac before selecting one, tying the bottle to an in-person pick. A separate 'Fiji Islands 2019 Jukebox Beer Cask' comes from a barrel exchange with Jukebox and is sold only at Château de Bonbonnet and Barge 166 in Paris.

Partner-only bottlings with the retailer's name on the label turn each barrel into exclusive shelf stock for smaller spirits shops. The Bonbonnet tasting trip also builds co-creation into the sale, giving buyers a store-specific story to attach to a limited release.
