Over the past few years, Pret A Manger has experimented with the opening of dedicated pop-up shops and permanent Veggie Pret retail locations for the enjoyment of a growing number of vegetarian and flexitarian consumers. Now, Pret A Manger is also launching vegetable-only retail fridges in shops across the UK.

The fridges will offer monthly veggie and vegan meals, alongside Chef's Specials. Pret A Manger has also remarked that its summer initiative will be supported by a "a new campaign which aims to encourage more meat eaters to try our veggie options."

Back in 2015 when Pret A Manger first began putting an emphasis on catering to a demand for plant-based foods, it launched a poll that asked if consumers would rather see it Open a Veggie Pret, A Veggie Fridge in Every Shop or leave Pret as it is. 52% of consumers who participated in the poll voted in favor of veggie fridges.
