Restaurant Salad Kits

California Pizza Kitchen and FiveStar Is Brining Its Salad Recipes to Retail

California Pizza Kitchen is bringing its salad recipes to the grocery aisle with a premium collection of salad kits and single-serve salads made with FiveStar Gourmet Foods. The line turns CPK dishes into take-home fresh meals, giving shoppers a restaurant-style option in the refrigerated produce section.

The collection is expected to reach nationwide retail in 2027. FiveStar will produce the products, and the packaging will carry both the CPK brand and the Crafted by Simply Fresh mark. That pairing gives the line a familiar restaurant name while keeping the format built for grab-and-go shopping.

The nationwide rollout in 2027 puts a restaurant brand into the fresh salad set at scale, not as a one-off licensed item. With CPK recipes and FiveStar's production behind it, the line could make refrigerated salads feel less generic and more meal-like.
