'Respawn Entertainment,' the developers most famous for the hit battle royale 'Apex Legends,' has announced a new partnership with LucasFilm where the studio will be tasked with creating three Star Wars games. These three games will be in three different genres, while one game will be made in collaboration with another studio.
The first game will be a sequel to EA's action-adventure game 'Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order' from 2019, and will continue with this same "souls-like" gameplay. The second game will be a first-person shooter, which is Respawn's specialty, while the third game is slated to be a turn-based strategy game made in collaboration with 'Bit Reactor.' Bit Reactor is a newly formed subdivision of 'Firaxis Games,' the studio behind the popular turn-based strategy franchise 'XCOM.'
