OluKai and bladesmith Neil Kamimura created the limited-edition Pāhi, a leather boot built for people who spend long stretches on their feet and want a pair that can stay in use longer. The collaboration is designed so wear becomes part of the look, with materials chosen to darken and shift in tone over time.
The upper uses pull-up leather rich in waxes and oils, helping it take on patina while resisting water and cracking. The Pāhi is priced at $300. Early access starts October 20, followed by broader availability on October 22 through OluKai's website and select Boot Barn and OluKai stores.
At $300, a resoleable outsole turns longevity into part of the value equation in a category where hard use is expected. Boot Barn and OluKai store placement also gives this small-run collaboration a retail setting where craftsmanship and repairability can justify the premium.
