Hee Welling Designs the Rely Chair for &tradition

— June 16, 2021 — Art & Design
The Rely seating designed is a 100 percent recycled plastic chair, drafted by Hee Welling for modern Danish brand &tradition. The silhouette is slick and timeless, ensuring that the furniture piece will fit the mold of minimalist and/or contemporary interior designs.

The seat and backrest are a single piece. The base of the recycled plastic chair is made out of steel. In an attempt to adapt the chair design for desk use, Hee Welling and &tradition make the piece available in a swivel version—with a “polished or powder-coated extruded aluminum.”

The Rely chair is made available in a variety of colors—from black and light blue to stone-grey, red-brown, and beige. With the hopes of expanding lifespan, the sustainable seating is made to be dismantled easily so it can be repaired.
