Recycled Performance Running Shirts

Hyosung TNC's regen ASKIN Combines Cooling and UV Protection

Hyosung TNC has introduced recycled performance running shirts featuring its regen™ ASKIN polyester yarn at SMTOWN RUN CLUB 26. The material combines recycled content with cooling, moisture control, and UV protection, allowing runners to experience functional sportswear made from repurposed resources. The shirts were worn by SM Entertainment artists and participants during the event.

Held on October 3 in Incheon, South Korea, the gathering demonstrated how recycled textiles perform during physical activity. Hyosung TNC also hosted an interactive booth explaining how discarded PET bottles are transformed into usable yarn. Visitors shared feedback on features they would like incorporated into future athletic clothing.

For textile manufacturers, combining recycled materials with practical performance benefits creates opportunities to serve environmentally conscious sportswear brands. Partnerships with entertainment companies and running communities can also increase product visibility, encourage consumer engagement, and support wider adoption of recycled fabrics.
