Hacking-Inspired Adventure Games

'Recompile' Takes Place Within a Mainframe Computer

'Recompile' is an upcoming video game from developer Phigames and publisher Dear Villagers. Set in an expansive digital world, players are tasked with discovering the many secrets that exist within the Mainframe, an ancient tech landscape that's full of threats.

Players will have to take control of a semi-sapient program in order to avoid being deleted, and will be able to learn new skills and abilities that will help them succeed. With many different routes to take, players will have to make important decisions that will influence how the game plays out. As nothing is hardcoded in the digital world, they'll be able use their hacking skills to their advantage.

Recompile will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Microsoft Windows.
