Temporary Modular Refugee Housing

Balbek Bureau Developed the Modular Town System RE: UKRAINE

RE: UKRAINE is a temporary housing system designed by Balbek Bureau as an attempt to help refugees find comfort in various countries. The Kyiv-based architecture and design studio developed the modular town system as a construction kit that can be applied at public and private levels.

The goal is to provide refugees with decent living conditions for those who have lost their homes to war. The residential areas can be scaled according to the specific needs of the refugee settlement due to its flexible system. Zones for public rooms, community centers, and squares are implemented in the project to ensure settlers can continue to socialize and ban together during these difficult times. RE: UKRAINE's modular abilities ensure that every settlement is customized.
