Feminist Playing Cards

'#Queenrules' Was Created in Honor of International Women's Day

The creative agency FCB Inferno created a unique deck of playing cards in honor of International Women's Day, called #Queenrules.

Changing the traditional dynamic of playing cards, in the #Queenrules version the Queens outrank the kings. The limited edition playing cards feature a series of illustrations that were made by 16 different female artists "found all over the world, sourced through womenwhodraw.com, a website that champions female artists." The illustrators come from a range of diverse backgrounds and groups, including women of color, individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, and other minority groups.

The concept behind these playing cards works to empower women and flip a script in a subtle but impactful way, functioning as the perfect International Women's Day gift.
