The COVID-19 outbreak has changed the way people go about their daily lives, including dating, and Quarantine Together is an app that aims to spark connections between people in isolation. While people are being urged to participate in social distancing, the Internet makes it possible for people to connect with one another at safe distances to provide much-needed socialization.
The newly launched app is as dedicated to encouraging online human connections as it is to maintaining public safety during this uncertain time. Users are asked if they've washed their hands and when they answer "yes," they are connected with another user via text. One of the creators of the app, Daniel Ahmadizadeh, told CNN that Quarantine Together "is specific to how people are living in this time."
