The Public Art Fund is installing a two-part series which aims to bring more meaning to everyday experiences, like purchasing a hot dog from a street vendor.
The Public Art Fund is a non-profit organization that brings accessible art to the streets of New York for the public to explore, while helping emerging artists execute their artistic vision. This particular installation features a hot dog-shaped Volkswagen serving street food to various neighbourhoods. According to the organizations director and curator, Nicholas Baume, this experience is all about “how we interact with our environment and our city, transforming them into platforms for making art.”
Those curious can check out the installation at the Brooklyn Bridge Park in Dumbo starting June 9th.
