Cheerios' Protein Breakfast Cereal is Loaded with 11g of Protein

— June 14, 2014 — Lifestyle
With more and more people looking for rich protein breakfast options, General Mills recently introduced a new Cheerios cereal that makes its protein content absolutely unmissable. The cereal boxes are branded with "protein" in big letters and a smaller medallion that notes the 11 grams of protein that you'll get per a 1.25 cup sized serving, if eaten with milk. This is a significant boost in protein, since regular Cheerios only has about three grams of protein in a comparable serving.

The two new types of Cheerios Protein cereal includes an 'Oats & Hone' flavor as well as a 'Cinnamon Almond' variety. New extra doses of protein in the cereals comes from soy, lentils and almonds in the cereal clusters.
