School Voter Registration Contests

MTV & When We All Vote's 2020 Prom Challenge is Encouraging

"Over 4 million Americans [will be] turning 18 between now and the 2020 election" and a new 2020 Prom Challenge is intended to bring two milestones together to encourage youth to be politically active.

The initative comes from a collaboration between When We All Cote and MTV's +1thevote campaign. Various brands such as Rent the Runway and others are also offering a supporting hand in this endeavor.

The 2020 Prom Challenge is seeking to award 20 high schools across the United States who are integrating voter registration "in the most creative and impactful ways." The winners of this contest will receive a monetary prize of $5,000 "to make their school's prom dreams come true."
