In a clever use of the Tinder app, EDM producer Zedd has launched his new album 'True Colors' on the dating platform for a very reasonable price.
Tinder users must only swipe right when they come across Zedd's profile, when they will then be matched with the account and receive a link to purchase the album at the special Tinder price.
Other clever instances of branded Tinder marketing include the Mindy Project's campaign in 2013 that saw users matched with Danny or Mindy and Jason Derulo, who launched his video for the song 'Want To Want Me' on the dating app.
A clever marketing campaign like this will likely also yield important demographic data based on location that will be instrumental in seeing where it succeeded most.
