There are strong influences that celebrate the designer's Indian-Nigerian heritage, as well as her experience nodding to London. These are practiced by exploring reusing unwanted clothing or deadstock fabrication. The collection features 10 pieces in total and it draws inspiration from the literature that is important to Ahluwalia. This includes 'The Black House' by Colin Jones and 'Al Fingers' Clarks in Jamaica.' Both of these literature pieces share the common reference of the Caribbean male identity.
