Pride celebrations are going digital in 2020 and TikTok is uniting the LGBTQ+ community on its platform with its own festivities. #MyPride is a weeklong celebration and in collaboration with FLAUNT, TikTok is highlighting 25 TikTok Trailblazers, a group of up-and-coming creators on the platform who define "what it means to embrace self-pride and live their lives to the fullest." These content creators range from musicians to athletes, each of which has been nominated by a fellow creator to recognize their positive impact.
As part of #MyPride, TikTok will be featuring special livestreams co-hosted by TikTok Trailblazers and special guests. For the virtual celebrations, there are also new creative effects to explore like Rainbow Eyeshadow and the Pride Flag Cape. TikTok is also donating $3 million to LGBTQ+ organizations.
