Price-Tracking Browser Features

Firefox's Price Wise Helps Users Get the Best Deal Online

Releasing in time for Black Friday, Firefox's Price Wise features lets users track prices for specific products and alerts them when prices go down. Launched as part of Firefox's Test Pilot Program, the new price tracking feature allows users to add products to a watch list on the browser and offers a counter to show how much a price has dropped in percentage amounts. Price Wise currently tracks products on Amazon, Best Buy, eBay, Walmart, and Home Depot.

Because the Price Wise feature is still in the testing phases for Mozilla, users will have some of their information collected. This is common with all features on the Test Pilot program, with Price Wise collecting information on how often users visit saved product pages, collecting data on what gets saved, and on how the app is used in general.
