The Gucci Resort 2016 collection boasts eclectic, prep fashions that are reminiscent of costumes seen in Wes Anderson's quirky films. In addition to the collection's tennis-themed knits, its layered and plaid-printed coats take center stage. Moreover, the menswear range highlights matching, athletic separates that feature botanical prints and a silk materiality.

The Gucci Resort 2016 collection features designs by the Italian label's creative director Alessandro Michele. The range was presented at a private show in New York City and was an homage to retro prep fashions.

In addition to its plaid statement pieces and staples that reference vintage sport uniforms, this collection also includes tailored suiting that is more subtle and accessories ranging from brightly colored berets and floral neck tie accents.
