The apparel brand Life is Good is putting the power of positive thinking to the test after developing 'The Power of Optimism' machine, which harnessed participant's happy thoughts to fill a glass of water.
An EEG headset, which is used to measure electrical activity in an individual's brain, was placed on the participant's head. User's were then tasked with thinking happy thoughts, which became even easier with the aid of a screen which played uplifting images. Once the headset detected the pattern that indicates positive thinking, it would signal to turn on a nearby tap, effectively producing a glass half full of water.
The power of optimism machine was created by the Toronto-based agency, The Garden.
