The 'Portal' lamp has been designed by Mark Kinsley and Tamera Leigh Staten of Lake + Wells in collaboration with Karice as a dual-purpose illuminator for a space that is minimalist yet functional.
The illuminator is designed as one part floor lamp and one part sconce to offer lighting that is a hybrid of both variations to create something completely unique. The lamp has been machined from a solid block of aluminum that has been refined by artisans before being anodized and assembled with a brass mirror that has been hand polished.
The 'Portal' lamp was described in elegant detail when they said, "the elongated form and reflective, polished brass core nod to the mirror as a literary object of magic, a portal to other worlds."
