The Bergspyder is a new Porsche concept car that was designed in 2015 to feature a minimalist and lightweight facade. The automotive company set out to make this sports car by utilizing the 981 Boxter chassis. The car was designed only as a concept and was originally taken to the Porsche Museum. However, the car is being taken out of the museum and being entered into this years Gaisberg hillclimb race.
Porsche attempted to make the car as light as possible and got the weight of the car down to 847 pounds, in part due to removing the windshield. The Porsche concept car is powered by a 3.8L flat-six engine that can generate 388 horsepower and bring the Bergspyder to 60mph in approximately four seconds.
